Is there a way to add a feature into VA from outside using the TOOLS API or any other API?

I don't think so. If the feature/package you require is not available from VAJ's own add features - you have to download what you want and then import it into your VAJ repository and then add to your workspace. This is how I've done it anyway. If you do find out any differently, please let me know. Miriam,
