hai, i am developing chatting application for my site, using socket programming in java. how many clients a ServerSocket will support? please tell me.my application is to communicate user of the site to administrator of site regarding doubts. there will be only one Admin who will be answering to clients questions. my client is a applet and server side is also applet used by the admin.admin will be watching all the users questions and he will give answer by selecting particular client name. i am doing this by taking the IPADDRESS when he click register button. Is it possible to take IPADDRESS of a user threw internet? please tell me any solution for this.?If this is not a correct way suggest me a better solution if po   More>>

if ur creating a chat application for website dont go for socket better go for URL connection and by adn large its good and server side u use servlet
