<strong>Fatal BindException on Startup</strong>

I have just installed Tomcat and get the following error when running the startup batch file -


2001-06-08 07:20:58 - PoolTcpConnector: Starting HttpConnectionHandler on 9000
FATAL:java.net.BindException: Address in use: JVM_Bind
java.net.BindException: Address in use: JVM_Bind


I've changed the port number in server.xml but still get the same result. Any ideas why this is happening?

Roger,

The only reason that can prodice that error is the fact that another process is listening on the same port.

Is it possible that you've changed the APJ connector port instead of the Http port?
