SWING applet not working in java plug in 1.3.1

I have a swing applet (AGenerator.java, it is an editor for HTML pages in our application) which was working fine for jre 1.3.0 . I have created a self signed certificate to download this editor. Here are the steps which I used to create certificate GDCMS.cer: 1. keytool -genkey -alias signFiles -keystore gdcmsstore -keypass kpi135 -dname "cn=gdcms" -storepass ab987c 2. jarsigner -keystore gdcmsstore -storepass ab987c -keypass kpi135 -signedjar signedAGenerator.jar AGenerator.jar signFiles 3. keytool -export -keystore gdcmsstore -storepass ab987c -alias signFiles -file GDCMS.cer So far so good ! But when we upgraded plug in to 1.3.1 , we are getting message : "certifiacte is not verified by root CA.   More>>

Shall I change myprocedure to sign this applet or call this applet ??
