Sharing session between http and https on IPlanet 4.1

Hi, I am trying to access a session created on a secure https server (login page) on an unsecure http server (redirected after login) but the the jsp on the http page cannot see the session. It creates a new session when I perform a request.getSession(true). The hostnames are the same and I'm using the MMapSessionManager. I notice the database file the MapSessionManager uses to store sessions is stored off the server root dir of the web server. If two web instances are configured with two distinct server root locations the MMapSessionManager will only know about sessions created on it's web server instance. I presume teh right server manager to use is a JDBC session manager. Should I go this root or is there an easier way to share sessions between secure an   More>>
