I am developing an applet that is used to draw figures like rectangle which can be moved accross the applet. I want to save those drawn images in a file ".ser" so that I can open them later in the same application and modify it. How must I do it?
Please give me sample code if possible.

Saving images is already covered in the FAQ. Images themselves are not serializable though, so can't be saved to .ser files.
