Hi,

I am trying to use Sun's JDBC-ODBC driver to connect to an MS Access database. I am using JDK 1.3 (using the Visual J++ IDE) and I can't a class definition not found error for:

Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");

Sun's official statement is that it does not support the "sun" package..but there does not seem to be other way to use the JDBC-ODBC bridge. Anyhow, J++ gives me an error as a result of this statement...can anyone help me?

Umm.... J++ is not 1.3. If you are using the MS VM, the JDBC-ODBC bridge driver is not sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver.
