UnsatisfiedLinkError - But why?

In some existing code (not mine), I've inserted "import HASP.*", compiled (in IBM VisualAge for Java) and everything seems fine, until its run, when I get the following exception:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: CallHASPService
at HASP.MemoHASP.IsHASP(MemoHASP.java)

Can someone explain what this might mean, and how I might fix it?

(It calls a DLL which *is* in the classpath and windows executable search
path)

Thanks

Marc,

There seems to be a problem within VAJ resolving links to Native DLLs
from with the IDE... I am researching this at the moment which is how I
found you post.

No answers at yet... Suggest you hound IBM on this one. The more people
make a fuss the quicker we'll get a resolution

It's a difficult issue, something is wrong in the compiled classes. Try to recompile.
