kindly help me out in finding the coding standards for developing a website so that the website runs in all the browsers.

There is no coding standart.

You muss evaluate advantages ad disadvantages. If you utilizate some specification maybe you application will run in all browser and maybe not.>br>
You must know, for exemple, that not all browsers support CSS1, CSS2, CSS3, XHTML, DOM, HTML4, XML, JavaScript ...

Some browser can disable applets, JavaScripts and more and you must evaluate what happen when the client disable these options.
