Hello !!!!

I'm using "DbconnectionBroker " from javaexchange.com ????
What is the most prefered Connection Pooling u r using ?

Well i 've a strange problem on my machine it works perfectly fine but on
the server it simply freezes " Internal servlet error " .

I have ans a/c on startom.org a free server for devolpers.

Pls correct me if i'm wrong

import com.javaexchange.dbConnectionBroker.* ;

it means the class file has to be there in
com/javaexchange/dbConnectionBroker/dbConnectionBroker.class

Locally this could be anywhere in the machine and the appropriate classpath
does the trick .

But on the server it can just be placed under the servlet dir so the problem
of classpath won't arise . Am i right ??????

But what if the server forbids to have any dir under "servlet" . Then how
does one work it out ??????

Normally the classpath is the "lib" dir, right ????? But it simply says
"permission Denied " when i tried to upload the "com"dir

But on the webappcabaret server there is no limitation on creating dirs inside the servlet dir . So uptill that point it works but it simply gives
Error: 503
Location: /kuttans/servlet/Shopper
access denied (java.io.FilePermission /WEB-INF/DCB.log write)

The www.webappcabaret.com says the file acesss has to be in the form
I'll quote from their manual
File Access
It is recommended you develop your application in a portable manner
that is system independent. Using the Servlet API can help you
achieve this.
You should use the ServletContext.getRealPath method
to access files in your context application directory.
Hence its simply won't work on webappcabaret as the DbconnectionBroker.class
is not in the not in their specified format

Please Advise !!!

Thank you !!!!

Best Regards

Sajan
