I'm developing an app that I'd like to change the JMenuBar with a new one whenever a user clicks on an entry in a JTree (sort of like context sensitive main menus). I've tried to just use setJMenuBar passing in a new JMenuBar but all I see is part of a control and clipped text from a JPanel that's displayed in the right pane of a splitter (the tree is in the left pane). Should this work or is it best to just replace all the JMenu's and their JMenuItem's?
