I was looking for an AWT filedialog that supports multiple file-selection or, if this doesn't exist, plan to write one for myself.
Then the next big question is, does anyone have derived a java.awt.list which supports windows-like multi-selection, i.e. a simple click selects only one item, a SHIFT-Click selects a range and CTRL-Click behaves like java.awt.list does?

I am searching for exactly the same thing except the fact that I have to be able to select directories also.

Did you wrote a new FileDialog with the new features ? Or maybe you found something useful somewhere ?
