Error starting 'IBM WS AdminServer' on WindowsNT

While starting the 'IBM WS AdminServer' i am getting the following message.

"The IBM WS AdminServer service returned service specific error 10. "

And in the "Event viewer" -> System i found the failure log as

"The IBM WS AdminServer service terminated with service-specific error 10. "

In the service 'Startup' setting i have selected 'Log On As - System Account'

Anyone Please help me solving the problem.

There are two possibilities for this peculiar problem that come to mind...

The first, and easiest to solve, happens when you try to start the service and there are JVMs associated with websphere that are running.
Check in your process list and make sure you have no java.exe running in the background (sometimes, the JVM services stay 'hung up')... if you do, kill them and try to start the service again.

The second problem happens if the WAS DB was corrupted for some reason... It has happened once to us and all the WebSphere tech support could tell us was "reinstall"...
