I've installed Tomcat (standalone mode) under WinNT (and Win2K) according to all of the instructions, and after perusing the all available FAQs. After running the startup script, I'm getting the following errors: Unable to open log file: c:Mydev omcatlogsservlet.log! Using stderr as the default... . . . Error generating automatic apache configuration java.io.FileNotFoundException: c:Mydev omcat/conf/tomcat-apache.conf . . . and several other, similar kinds of errors (too numerous to list). In the end, Tomcat does not run! Yet, I've followed the exact same installation under Win98, with no problems. Help! Bob M   More>>

edit your tomcat-home-parameter from context-manager in your server.xml to
ContextManager debug="0" workDir="work" showDebugInfo="true" home="c:/Mydev/tomcat" (slash not backslash) and make sure that the path "c:/mydev/tomcat/conf" already exists!
