I am currently writing a Chat application program using RMI.In that to show the number of currently logged in users I have used the "List"function.While compiling i have around 10 errors describing the instances of the list function i used as "<> class".if anybody can suggest me a solution i would be highly greatful.

The List class is found in java.util and java.awt. If you are importing both packages..... its ambiguous.
