Is there a way in the IDE debugger to trap or "break" on events ? I would like to have some way of monitoring the EventQueue and break on specific Swing events.

Thank you.

You can set breakpoints at strategic places in the Swing/AWT code. For example, if you want to break when a particular type of even is created, set a breakpoint in the constructor of that event class.

Alternatively, if you want to break where the event is actually handled (probably more useful), set a breakpoint in EventDispatchThread or EventQueue.
