Is there anyway to develop java applications (including conduits) for the Palm O/S without being tied to Sun Microsystems in any way? I believe the KVM requires you to adhere to the Sun community license, but what if I don't want to be part of that? What if I want to write my app, without using KVM, for commercial purposes and don't want to have to agree to anything with SUN? Is there another implementation of KVM like J2ME CLDC VM? The only thing I've found so far is JUMP: http://hewgill.com/pilot/jump. But I'm it looks like I'd still have to write in C for my conduit. I've also found JDesignerPro (http://www.bulletproof.com/) but it requires ~$400. Is there an opensource effort, like OpenKVM? What other software might I need to make developing java    More>>
