RMS does not require or use a application server. If you are
interested in storing information on a J2ME device, please
check out PointBase at www.pointbase.com. We have a product
called PointBase Micro that is a RDBMS in 41KB. It abstracts
away RMS and gives a develper a JDBC subset interface. That
means it is easy to create Java applications that require
persistence on a device.
