WebDAV is a protocol extending HTTP
with additional features like
browsing, locking, versioning, so it
makes it possible for many users to
work over WEB on the same documents.
Unfortenately there are no browsers/servers more than beta.
(Correct me, if I'm wrong!)
A server-reference implementation is Jigsaw, but not really a replacement (ersatz) for tomcat.
Tomcat supports WebDAV not directly,
but can be extended like done in
look for the class
I'm not really happy with all that.
It' seems, its up to us to implement the features...
