We use FrontBase professionally. See http://www.frontbase.com.




You can get a developer license for free. Production copies are $1000 per server, if I'm reading their web site correctly.

I've installed Firebird (an Interbase clone)

it's free, does support annidated query, triggers etc.

it's not bad.

i'm using a MySQL database. you can download it from www.mysql.com or www.entropy.ch. there is also a good installation instruction for the MySQL database on the apple developers site - just search for MySQL
