If subject is "TEST1: foo bar", why wont a subject search term of "TEST" match?

My JavaMail tool is working otherwise. However, if I have an email with a subject of "TEST1: foo bar", using a subject search term of "TEST1" will match, but using "TEST" does not.


Any idea why?
