The error was relating to the class Console not found. From my understanding, Console is a new class in Java6(Jdk1.6) onwards and therefore if you tried to compile anything below that, it will not be available.

I wish to clarify and make sure that there is no problem with my source code. The source code is below. Its just a simple client to connect and authenticate against a server.
