I have just installed Eclipse on my Windows Vista PC. I created a very small test program with JUnit to be sure that everything worked ok. Here is the program: import org.junit.Test; import static org.junit.Assert.*; public class testUnitTest { @Test public void simpleAdd() { int result = 1; int expected = 1; assertEquals(result, expected); } } When I try to run it I get a small window labeled "Problem Launching JUnit Test" with a message "No socket available". I have just installed Eclipse on my Windows Vista PC. I created a very small test program with JUnit to be sure that everything worked ok. Here is the program:

import org.junit.Test;
import static org.junit.Assert.*;

public class testUnitTest {

@Test
public void simpleAdd() {
int result = 1;
int expected = 1;
assertEquals(result, expected);
}

}

When I try to run it I get a small window labeled "Problem Launching JUnit Test" with a message "No socket available".

I have not found anything useful when asking Google.

I have Norman antivirus install but even if I uninstall I still get the error message above.

Is there anyone that can help me solve the problem above?

I too faced the same problem. This is probably occurs when you have blocked eclipse from accessing the internet for updates. When you allow access to the internet this problem willl get rectified as in my case.
