I am trying to connect to webservice endpoint=https://test.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/9.0
through java code.
When tried to connect through proxy host and proxy port to this address(from offshore-Hyd) it is throwing the following error:

- exception Connecting to SFDC ; nested exception is:
java.net.SocketException: Operation timed out: connect:could be due to invalid address

But with the same properties and same code, we are able to connect from (onsite-USA).

The main problem is one month back we are able to connect,suddenly we are getting this error at offshore.

This is the block of code we are using:

binding = (SoapBindingStub)new SforceServiceLocator().getSoap();
System.getProperties().put(PROXY_HOST,config.getString(PROXY_HOST));
System.getProperties().put(PROXY_PORT,config.getString(PROXY_PORT));
binding._setProperty (Stub.ENDPOINT_ADDRESS_PROPERTY,config.getString(ENDPOINT));
LoginResult loginResult = binding.login(config.getString(USER_NAME),config.getString(PASSWORD));

It would be a great help if any advices on this.
