Hello, I am trying to use WTP to generate stubs from a WSDL. The web service runs over https. It gives the following error: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target ...... It seems that I have to import the certificate, which I added to $java_home/jre/lib/security/cacerts. But the error still remains.    More>>

Hello,
I am trying to use WTP to generate stubs from a WSDL. The web service runs over https. It gives the following error:

sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
......

It seems that I have to import the certificate, which I added to $java_home/jre/lib/security/cacerts. But the error still remains.

Is there any more tweaking that needs to be done to get WTP to work? Or am I adding the certificate to the wrong keystore?

Any help appreciated.
