We are using log4j and we are logging to a file. The user normally does not start the process from the command line and we prefer to not allow user to use command line. The logging is logged to a Rolling File appender. Everything works great except when an exception is thrown. The exception does not show up in the log. The only way to see the Exception is to run the process from the command line and it will then show up. We are using Linux and I suspect it has something to do with Exceptions being thrown to Stderr as opposed to Stdout.
I have searched the forums and found nothing. Any help would be greatly appreicated.
