When I try and use eclipse to generate a serialversionUID I get the following error message

"The following problem occurred: The temporary file with the serial version IDs does not exist."

A serialversionUID of 1 is then generated, which is not what I wanted.

Anybody know what this temporary file is? Or how to fix?

Have you saved the class before generating the UID?
