I'd like my java app to use JAX WS to make calls to the SOAP API for Microsoft's Live Search. The WSDL file is located at: http://soap.search.msn.com/webservices.asmx?wsdl I download that file and called it msn.wsdl. I then ran the command "wsimport msn.wsdl", which resulted in the following error: I don't know if this is relevant or not, but the wsdl:definitions tag looks like this: And there is nothing at the specified URL (http://schemas.microsoft.com/MSNSearch/2005/09/fex). Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get this working? (Better yet, has someone else already done this and created a jar file I can download?) I'm usi   More>>

I'm using jdk 1.6.0_03-b05 on Windows.

Mike,

I'm testing this as well.

I'm using jdk 1.6.0_02-b05 on Windows.

I get the same result with either a file where I've saved it:

wsimport msnsearch.xml

or a URL reference:

wsimport http://soap.search.msn.com/webservices.asmx?wsdl

But I don't get the same error as you got.

I get the following error (line 0 reference removed):

error: A class/interface with the same name "com.microsoft.schemas.msnsearch._2005._09.fex.SearchResponse" is already in use. Use a class customization to resolve this conflict.
error: (Relevant to above error) another "SearchResponse" is generated from here.
error: Two declarations cause a collision in the ObjectFactory class.
error: (Related to above error) This is the other declaration.
error: com.sun.istack.internal.SAXParseException2: (Related to above error) This is the other declaration.

I don't know what's up, but it could be Java - .NET problems, addressed by Glassfish WSIT: https://wsit.dev.java.net/.

Cheers,

Henrik G
