AJAX/JSP dynamic drop down list without using PHP?

			I have worked on JSPs before and I want to develop a page
			

			using JSP and AJAX to build a dynamic drop down list (like
			

			

			the one used in Google Suggest..
			

			

			

			

			

			
				Google Suggest
			
			

			

			

			

			Online searches gave me loads of tutorials using PHP.
			

			However, I have no idea of PHP and would like to do it
			

			using just JSP and AJAX, with oracle DB if needed...
			

			

			

			

			Is this possible... any examples??

Question, can you translate between Java and PHP? I often look at PHP code and do that. It's a very useful skill. Put a few links to those tutorials talking about the "Google Suggest" feature up and one of us may take a whack at it.
