I am implementing some Ajax functionality with Javascript and Servlets/JSP. For a while, I was able to dispatch from a servlet to a JSP page, and the XmlHttpRequest object was populating the JSP in the request.responseText just fine. But now, I am receiving request.state = 0, request.stateText = 'Unknown'. request.send() is invoking the servlet properly, which is dispatching to the JSP. The JSP is fulfilling its purpose, but the failure is right at the response. One thing I noticed, the request.readyState jumps to '4' very quickly, while the servlet and JSP take a second to jump into action. I'm using IE7, but it does not work on FireFox 1.5 either. Firefox freezes at request.send().    More>>

Anybody have any ideas what the problem could be?

I switched to Glassfish v1 and it is working again. I was previously using Apache 5.5.
