I am caught in the MS VM vs JAVA (Sun) JRE big red X issue. I am required to use JAVA (Sun) JRE 1.5.0_09. I need to update my html to fix this problem. I am having issues with the codebases. Below is a copy of my html file that calls my applet. My applet, in turn, calls another class file that is in a jar file. Question: How do I convert my html file to use an OBJECT block instead of an APPLET block? applet width="0" height="0"> param name="namespace" value="MatrixOne"> param name="useslibrary" value="SwingClasses"> param name="useslibrarycodebase" value="http:   More>>

this problem. I am having issues with the codebases. Below is a copy of my html file that calls my applet. My applet, in turn,
calls another class file that is in a jar file.

Question: How do I convert my html file to use an OBJECT block instead of an APPLET block?

applet width="0" height="0">
param name="namespace" value="MatrixOne">
param name="useslibrary" value="SwingClasses">
param name="useslibrarycodebase" value="http://oakdale56/matrixweb/java/classes/Swing.cab">
param name="useslibraryversion" value="1,1,1,0">
/applet>
applet CODE="matrix.applet.ResetPassword.class" WIDTH="500" HEIGHT="175">
param name="Host" value="oakdale56/ematrix">
param name="namespace" value="MatrixOne">
param name="Protocol" value="http:">
param name="Server" value=":bos">
param name="useslibrary" value="eMatrixAppletXMLClasses">
param name="useslibrarycodebase" value="http://oakdale56/matrixweb/java/classes/eMatrixAppletXML.jar">
param name="useslibraryversion" value="10,0,1,0">
/applet>

Here is what I have so far, but I still get the red x.

I don't know, but just glancing at your code, if you really need to use the Java 5 JVM because you are using Java 5 language features, then probably your codebase is wrong, since it mentions "jinstall-1_4_2".... and the 'type' PARAM also mentions "version=1.4".
