Hello there,
In the recent times there are so many websites which allow you to import address book contents from popular email webservices such as Yahoo,gmail,hotmail,AOL etc.
Such sites include hi5.com,plaxo widgets ....

Now my question is as how to get the above work done using java mail api or any other api.

It's not, nor should it be, in JavaMail API. These programs have their own formats for storing the address book. Reverse engineer it or find specs for it, and write a program that parses it.
