Is List API Serializable ?
Can i return List from EJB layer ?

Just make sure that all the items in your List implement Serializable as well!

"List" itself is an interface, but the three usable implementations of it (ArrayList, LinkedList, Vector) all declare they implement Serializable in the java API docs.
