Short question: I want to create jar files without manifest using ant. But as far as I can see ant always adds a manifest file.
I know jar supports the option "-M" but I don't know how to pass this to ant.

What I actually try to do is to compare jar files but ant always adds the manifest file with a timestamp which makes it impossible to compare them.
As a workaround I guess I could call jar via exec, or use a zip and rename it to jar.
Is there an easier (ant) task to do this?

I suspect the exec call is probably the way to go. I've run up against something else that the ant task didn't support that the command line did, and was forced to rewrite it to an exec call. :/
