Hi All, Currently i am working in Lucene. I tried the "contains" condition in WildCardQuery(). I index the following data {"ramya,ramya01,ramya02...}. If i search for "ram*". It displays {"ramya","ramya01",...}. It worked well. But my requirement is doesnt contain.Without the particular word we have to search. I tried like " - ram *". But it doesnt work. Is there any possibility to work the wilcardQuery() with " - " operator?? With Regards, V.Nithya.    More>>

Purely negating queries are not supported.
