I have a need to have an ant target which uses the javadoc task to drop out on error in the event that a warning is detected during the javadoc compile. I see an attribute for "failonerror" but no such attribute for warnings.

If not possible directly, any ideas on how to synthesize such a thing?

Thanks for any feedback,

Karl

Interesting. I see nothing in the javadoc task (or the javadoc command itself) to help you out. If you deeply require this, you may need to write your own Ant Logger. I imagine you may could just extend the current default logger with some additional logic that happens only for the javadoc task, at which point you could throw your own BuildException events for warning-level messages that come through. (I've only recently been working through some custom xml-based loggers myself, and no, the included XmlLogger doesn't cut it, before anyone points it out. :) Not too bad to sort out, though there's not a ton of examples on the 'net either. (Using eclipse helped a bit in my case.)
