Must all my Eclipse projects be directly under the workspace dir ? The normal scenario : …/workspace/project1 …/workspace/project2 …/workspace/project3 …/workspace/project4 … Can I organize the directory tree in a way that I like ? Eg : …/workspace/dir1/project1 …/workspace/dir1/project2 …/workspace/dir2/project3 …/workspace/project4 … and yet still be recognizable as an Eclipse project within Eclipse ? I tried but it gave me an error. Thanks.    More>>

When creating a new project (at least, via using the wizard) there is an option as to whether the project is in the standard eclipse workspace directory or in some other directory. Look for and tick this option, then specify where the project should live. Just be aware two projects can live in the same directory tree structure (that is, be somehow nested in/under each other).
