Your wording indicates you want an Applet to be able to make a JNI call. This could get very tricky to get working correctly -- first of all, the standard security policy that is in place for a browser applet will prevent you from doing this. You may be able to override *your* browser's security policy so the applet can do this on *your* system, but you won't be able to deliver to someone else without them doing the same. (As for *how* to do this, I don't know.) A quick google hit for "applet JNI" turned up some results indicating it probably *can* be done, however, but the number of people who could walk you through it start to finish will likely be a very small number.
