Hi,
I have a single client and multiple servers.
The client can select multiple servers at a time.
And I want to upload a file from client to servers.
The file should be processed at the server and the log should be returned back to the client.I dont know how to upload a file thru RMI.

please help me in solving this.........

Thanx in Advance.

Perhaps you can create a Serializable object with file data (file name, file path, and file content). Then send it to RMI server and write the content in an especified file path.

Well, i wll try do it. I need it too! If you know another solution, please send me..

thanks

Say your RMI Server is running on Machine A and port 1005.
it means you have an API in remote interface say
write(byte[] bytes)

you just call this api and pass the bytes that are written in the file and remote API will be executed by server.

Hope you understands now.
