Trouble connecting to MySQL database

I am using Netbeans 3.6. I cant seem to connect my MySQL database by adding the driver. I am using Windows XP and Apache tomcat server. Can anyone help me to solve my problem.

"Can't seem to connect" is not a lot of information to start solving problems.... Show the error/execption, or if not present, show the code that should connect (URL, driver etc)
