I have found some websites claiming on internet that Ruby On Rails is 5-10 times faster than JSP . Can any one put some thoughts?

Perhaps. But faster in what way?

in development time? (maybe, if you have a good Ruby developer)

execution time on identical server? (maybe, especially if you have a clunky J2EE app server, insufficient RAM etc.)

in maintenance/debugging/support response time?
(do you have Ruby expertise on your infrastructure support team? among your maintenance programmers?)
