I have a directory which contains multiple subdirectories. Each of these subdirectories contains .class files. So what I'd like to do is add every .class file to my path that is in any subdirectory of the main directory. I tried this and it didn't work.

Thanks,
Shay

That path should catch all class-files. But do you want to catch the files or the java classes? Then dont forget to handle the packages which are mapped to directories too.

/my/project/basedir/for/classes/com/company/my/project/aPackage/HelloWorld.class

  • specifies the directory containing the classes (needed in your )

  • the package of your class (package clause in the java file; mapped to directories)

  • name of the class (and therefore for the file)

  • file suffix (source in .java)

all together is the absolute path to the file.
