Hey rams lingam,
Infact all the threads are supposed to meet their own 'end' state soon after their jobs are done! Its the natural case.
There may be situations when you want to kill the threads manually. You can kill by calling stop()method. But remember this method is deprecated since JDK 1.4 as it is giving some unwanted effects!
Not only this stop(), also the suspend() method is deprecared. I would recommend you to please go through the API documentation of JDK1.4 (which is being used pretty much nowadays!) for a thorough implementation details!
Good luck,
