The cross 'x' button of the FileDialog in Swing is not working for Linux environment. Currently i am using Jdk 1.5
The 'X' button is working properly to close the file dialog in jsdk 1.4.

Closing the File dialog of Swing using the "X" button in the title bar does not work. Control+C is not helpful to close the application as well.

Can anybody suggest me, how to solve this problem of jdk 1.5 in Linux environment.

regards,
akshay

Have you searched the bug database ?

For a start, i'd suggest using the "cancel" button instead of the "close" button.
