We are having problems receiving JMS text messages using MQ queues on UNIX. We have a scenario where IBM WMIMB v5.0 is sending text messages containing non-ASCII characters (e.g. euro, yen symbols) using a C++ MQI-based client and a Java process on the other side is receiving these messages. When we read these messages, the non-ASII characters esp. the euro and yen symbols show up as ?. If we just put pure ASII characters in the text message, everything seems to work.

I suspect that there is a configuration issue here specifically, something to do with CCSID or character encoding. I wonder if someone can shed more light on this.
