In my build file, I define a path called compile.classpath. Nested within it are three filesets that include all of the necessary libraries needed to compile the code, except for one. Before the compile target is called, a target to generate some code from XSDs is called. I need that output (schemas.jar) to be included in the compile.classpath so that the comilation can continue. Is this possible? If so, how?

Yes, it is possible, actually I am doing almost exact the same as you are doing. However, you need to write a custom ant task, get the path, and add/modify it, and put it in use.

What I am doing is that I define a path reference lib.classpath, then add/modify the lib.classpath use my own task.

Hope this helps.
