Is there a way of configuring a SwiftMQ queue to automatically expire a message after a number of failed attempts? In a transacted queue session we would like the message to be expired (or moved to dead letter queue) after a certain number of rolled back transactions. Oracle AQ implements this as a Maximum Retries value but I have been unable to find anything similar for SwiftMQ. We would like to avoid the situation where a corrupt message will be processed in an endless loop.

There is no similar handling in SwiftMQ. The easiest way would be to consume (and commit) the message but don't process it if the JMSDeliveryCount > .
