Dear all,

I wanna ask, is the struts create a session when we are
calling .do in the web? the action will create a session?

I found that there is many session created in the
server side and it makes the performance turns bad. Do
i have any method to force the action not to make a
session for itself?

sessions are created by the application server according to how you set your application up. this means that if you define a struts action mapping to store a form bean in the session scope, it will do so (and create a session). inside your action classes, if you choose to set session objects in there, you can. everything is under your control. struts doesn't set up session or store objects in the session unless you code it that way...in other words, the blame is on bad coding, NOT struts. - alan
