Hello,
I am running the JVM under user 'user1' having 'group1' set (unix).

The JVM cannot write to a directory set to user 'user2' with same group as above. (permission denied exception thrown).

But, through unix command line it is possible.

why is the JVM not allowing to write to this file ?

Make sure that "group1" is set as the primary group for "user1"? or do a "setgrp" before running the JVM?
