Hi, I have an applet running in a weblogic servere environment It is loaded from a jsp and in that jsp, ip address is taken from the property file If I use the following code. serverName = InetAddress.getByName( InetAddress.getLocalHost().getHostAddress()).getHostName() this returns me the domain name, but the applet doesn't get loaded. If I hardcode the IPAddress it works. It would be great if somebody helps me to get the fully qualified path like http://xyz.abc.com so that I need not take the IP address from the property file. I should not be taking the server name etc from request also. thanks in advance    More>>

Hi,

I have an applet running in a weblogic servere environment
It is loaded from a jsp and in that jsp, ip address is taken from the property file

If I use the following code.

serverName = InetAddress.getByName(

InetAddress.getLocalHost().getHostAddress()).getHostName()

this returns me the domain name, but the applet doesn't
get loaded. If I hardcode the IPAddress it works.
It would be great if somebody helps me to get the fully qualified path like http://xyz.abc.com so that I need not take the IP address from the property file.
I should not be taking the server name etc from request also.

thanks in advance
